Anne Allred anchors the 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. news with Mike Bush and won the Mid-America Emmy award for best news anchor for her coverage of the 2014 unrest in Ferguson, Missouri.

A native St. Louisan, Anne joined 5 On Your Side in January 2013. She's traveled extensively to cover some of the biggest new stories including content for the Olympics Games in Beijing, Vancouver, and London.

She came to KSDK from WHDH, the NBC affiliate in Boston, where she worked for six years and served as the weekday morning and noon anchor. Her work at WHDH resulted in a 2012 Emmy nomination for best news anchor.

Before her time at WHDH, Anne worked at WSYX/WTTE in Columbus, Ohio, WCTI in New Bern, N.C., and for NPR. She's excited to be back in her hometown rooting on the Cardinals, but, she says 5 On Your Side feels like home as well.

Anne got the journalism "bug" when she interned at KSDK in college.
