The Cardinals and Cordship Companies announced Monday St. Louis’ Ballpark Village has been selected as a finalist for one of the industry’s most prestigious awards programs, the Urban Land Institute’s Global Awards for Excellence.
The Awards for Excellence program recognizes real estate projects that achieve the highest standard of excellence in innovative design, construction, economics, planning, and management.
“We are incredibly honored that Ballpark Village was selected as a finalist this year for the ULI Global Awards for Excellence,” stated Blake Cordish, Vice President of The Cordish Companies. “The ULI Global Awards for Excellence is the most prestigious award in urban development and most importantly recognizes projects that make a significant positive impact on their communities. We are proud to have delivered a world-class project with our partners, the Cardinals, that is playing such a significant role in the growth of St. Louis.”
25 finalists were selected by an international jury made up of Urban Land Institute members. The finalists will be announced in October at the 2017 Urban Land Institute fall meeting in Los Angeles.
Since opening in 2014, Ballpark Village has played a role in the revitalization of downtown St. Louis. It has employed nearly 2,000 people and welcomed over 10 million guests.
