ST. LOUIS — 5 On Your Side wants to rise up for heroes!
During the month of March, we are recognizing the men and women who don't often get the spotlight but are the backbone to vital organizations in St. Louis.
On March 26, the Today in St. Louis crew honored Stephanie Vonarx. She's the Assistant Life Enrichment Director for Dolan Memory Care Homes. It's an organization that helps patients with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
Over the past year, Stephanie has led the effort to provide activities to residents -- such as games, painting and other crafts.
She helps bring joy and offer a distraction to her patients battling difficult illnesses.
She plays a vital role in bringing comfort to families who can't visit their loved ones because of COVID restrictions.
