CHESTERFIELD, Mo.- McArthur's Bakery will close one of its stores in Chesterfield.
The iconic St. Louis bakery chain opened in 1956. Since then, the small corner bakery grew into four different locations.
The decision to close down the store on Olive Boulevard was made in order to move some of the business' focus towards online services.
"In order to stay ahead of the curve, we need to reallocate some of our resources to help free up and increase our productivity to support the shift in how we reach our customers," Scott Rinaberger, owner of the bakery said.
McArthur's Bakery on 13700 Olive Boulevard will close its doors on Sun., January 21.
