ST. LOUIS — As Thanksgiving Day approaches, one ride-sharing service is wanting to ensure everyone's safety to make it home in time for the holiday.

Lyft, paired with local liquor distributing company Major Brands, is giving their customers 'Blackout Wednesday,' a promotion which gives all patrons a free $25 voucher. The discount is good for one ride within the St. Louis area.

The voucher runs from 4 p.m. Wednesday to 2 a.m. Thursday. Use code 'SHMB17' in your Lyft app to activate the free ride.

To download Lyft on your smartphone, enter your phone number on their website to receive a download link. Additional coupons, such as first-time ride discounts, are also available. Only one coupon can be used per ride.
