First, it was Dexter Fowler giving back, and now his fellow teammates are stepping in to continue the trend.

Just before the start of Saturday's game against the Phillies Saturday, 3-year-old Make-A-Wish patient Bryor Lacey had the chance to play ball with a few of the pitchers. reported Lacey arrived at Busch Stadium to receive an on-field tour -- that is until a few local faces took notice of him. After stopping to talk with him for several minutes, relief pitcher Matt Bowman asked Lacey if he'd be interested in playing some baseball. Before he knew it, closer Trevor Rosenthal joined in to help catch, and a miniature ballgame was underway.

He previously visited with the team during a Make-A-Wish trip to Spring Training in Jupiter, Fla. earlier this year. writer Jennifer Langosch said Lacey was diagnosed with childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia last January.

Lacey was in St. Louis in preparation to be honored as a guest at the Cardinals' Wives for Wishes fundraiser on Sunday.
