ST. LOUIS — A 10-year-old boy has died after he was shot in a drive-by shooting in St. Louis' Lewis Place neighborhood Friday night.

Police responded to the shooting in the 4700 block of Page Boulevard around 8:30 p.m. where the boy was taken to a hospital. Police confirmed on Saturday morning the boy died from his injuries at the hospital.

The boy was on a porch with his father and three other adults when a dark-colored vehicle drove by and fired several shots with what police believe was an assault rifle. Police said an officer was a block away and quickly responded to the scene.

Relatives who spoke to 5 On Your Side identified the boy as Eddie Hill IV.

No one else was injured in the shooting.

The vehicle drove away and was last seen traveling east on Page Boulevard at Marcus Avenue.
