BENTON, Ill. – A former Illinois Department of Corrections officer was sentenced Monday for punching, kicking and choking a handcuffed inmate in 2016.
According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney for Southern Illinois, Dustin A Fleming was sentenced to four months in prison and fined $200 for his role in the crime that took place on Oct. 15, 2016. He pleaded guilty in July.
