COLLINSVILLE, Ill. – A man was arrested after police said he robbed a Walgreens in Collinsville, Illinois, early Wednesday morning.
Police said the man entered the store, pulled his coat over his face and asked the cashier for a pack of cigarettes. He then pulled out a gun and demanded money from the register. He grabbed some money and fled the scene in a white Chevrolet Venture van.
On Tuesday, 29-year-old Lamar Gibson was charged with armed robbery.
Police believed Gibson was a frequent customer of the store, and was seen on security footage on Nov. 16 and 18.
