Multiple lanes of Interstate 270 were closed south of Highway 70 Saturday after a man on the shoulder fired shots into the air.
Police said the incident happened at around 3 p.m. along northbound 270. Maryland Heights police said the got out of his car parked on the shoulder of 270 and started firing a gun into the air.
The man was arrested without incident and the gun was recovered. No one was hurt.
The lanes of 270 have since been reopened.
