Man shot outside Brooklyn, Illinois, nightclub Friday morning

ISP said the victim, a 24-year-old man, was shot in the parking lot of Roxy's after "an altercation" with multiple people.

BROOKLYN, Ill. — A person was injured in a shooting early Friday morning outside a nightclub in Brooklyn, Illinois.

According to the Brooklyn Police Department, the victim was shot outside Roxy's, a nightclub located at 210 Madison Street in Brooklyn. 

Illinois State Police said it was requested to investigate the shooting shortly after 3:30 a.m. Friday. 

ISP said the victim, a 24-year-old man, was shot in the parking lot of Roxy's after "an altercation" with multiple people. 

The victim suffered serious injuries, ISP said. 

The victim was taken to a regional hospital in a private car.

No additional details about the shooting were immediately released.
