EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. — Troopers with the Illinois State Police are looking for three persons of interest in connection with the deadly shooting of a man in East St. Louis.
Police said they were called to Haymore's Liquor Store Tuesday night where they found 32-year-old Darnell C. Steward with gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the hospital, where he died.
After an investigation, police have identified three persons of interest they believe might be traveling in a full-sized SUV. Police think the rear window of the SUV might have been broken out during the incident.
