According to a press release from the Edwardsville Police Department, the truck was driven onto the property between the courthouse and administration building at around 2 a.m. on Nov. 11.

MADISON COUNTY, Ill. – Police are looking for the driver of a four-door pick-up truck that caused $20,000 of damage to Madison County Courthouse Property earlier this month.

According to a press release from the Edwardsville Police Department, the truck was driven onto the property between the courthouse and administration building at around 2 a.m. on Nov. 11. The truck was then driven up a set of steps near Main Street, across the courtyard and down another set of steps before getting back on Second Street.

Officials said the truck caused damage to the concrete. It will cost about $20,000 to repair.

Police described the truck as a four-door GMC or Chevrolet truck with tinted windows, a fiberglass Tonneau bed cover, chrome steel wheels and chrome running boards. They said the truck's front driver's side quarter-panel was probably damaged in the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Edwardsville Police Department at (618) 656-2131.
