ST. LOUIS — For the second weekend in a row, St. Louis police are investigating a shooting along a popular stretch of Washington Avenue downtown.

At 3:01 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to 14th and Washington. At this time, police believe two people shot at each other. No one was hit or injured during the shootout. The suspects who fired the shots got away.

Police responded to another shooting a block away from that scene last Sunday.

At about 1:02 a.m., three people were shot in the 1500 block of Washington Ave. near several popular restaurants and bars.

The victims told police they saw four men crouching behind a parked car on Washington at 16th Street. As they drove by, the men who were hiding behind the car shot at the men inside the car, according to police. An 18-year-old man and 20-year-old man inside the car were grazed by bullets, but their injuries weren’t severe and they were treated at the scene.

A 27-year-old woman who was inside the nearby English Living venue was hit by a stray bullet. She was taken to a nearby hospital and is stable, police reported.

Three windows at the English Living venue were damaged along with three cars that were parked outside.

Police have not released any further details about the shootings or any suspects.
