ST. LOUIS — Two women said they were carjacked after walking away from their vehicle in the Central West End Saturday night.

The incident was reported at 11:14 p.m. in the 400 block of Walton.

Two 32-year-old women told St. Louis police they parked and got out of their vehicles on Walton and were walking away when a man ran up to them. They recalled he had his hand in his jacket pocket and indicated he had a gun.

The women said the man ordered them to drop their keys. One of the women did. The man picked up her car keys, got in her 2017 Chevy Malibu and drove off.

The women weren’t injured during the incident.

They described the carjacker as a man in his early 20s with a thin build and about 5-feet 9-inches tall. They said he was wearing a white surgical mask, black zip-up jacket with a hood, a dark ball cap and blue jeans with a white stripe down the leg.

St. Louis police are investigating the incident.
