Two men were taken into custody Thursday after an armed robbery on the platform of a MetroLink stop in Clayton.

According to a press release from the St. Louis County Police department said the two men walked up to someone on the Clayton MetroLink platform just after 1 p.m. and demanded money. One of the men showed a gun, at which time the victim handed over some money before running away to call 911.

The release said County police from the MetroLink unit were riding the train at the time of the incident and arrived on the scene moments after the incident. Clayton Police were also near the scene at the time of the incident and helped take the suspects into custody.

A loaded gun was recovered after one of the men tossed it. The suspects' names have not been released because charges have not been filed.

The victim was not injured.
