Another violent weekend in the City of St. Louis. From Friday to Sunday, at least seven people have died from shootings and another eight have been injured.

TIMELINE

On Friday, police responded to the 5500 block of Etzel around 3:08 a.m. Police say the shooting was a domestic disturbance involving a man, woman and the woman’s son. 35-year-old Lamar Wise was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman had injuries to her face and neck, but refused medical treatment. The investigation is ongoing.

Police responded to the 1200 block of Gimblin around 11:20 a.m. Friday where a man was pronounced dead at the scene. According to a police report, Frederick Thomas, 57, was shot by 33-year-old Jason Westbrook. Further investigation revealed the two are related. Westbrook has been charged with first-degree involuntary manslaughter.

A 23-year-old man was driving along the 7500 block of Vermont around 4 p.m. when someone in a burgundy Dodge Durango drove up to him and fired shots. He was transported t o a hospital and is listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.

A 22-year-old man was found shot to death on the 3800 block of Labadie around 10 p.m. He’s been identified as Demarco Mars. Another man was with him, but not injured. He told police he and Mars were walking when shots were fired from a dark-colored vehicle. Police do not have any suspects in custody.

Around 10:20 p.m. two women driving along the 2500 block of Goodfellow when shots were fired into the vehicle. The driver, a 26-year-old woman was transported to a hospital and is listed in stable condition. The investigation is ongoing.

On Saturday night, a 14-year-old girl was shot as she was walking along the 5700 block of Goodfellow where two groups of men started fighting. She attempted to get out of the area, but she was struck. She’s listed in critical condition and the investigation is ongoing.

Two men were found shot around 7:45 p.m. after a car accident escalated into an argument on the 2600 block of Rauschenbach. Cameron Wilson, 26, was pronounced dead at the scene and a 30-year-old man was transported to the hospital and listed in critical condition. Two unknown suspects fired shots into the vehicle, police do not have anyone in custody.

Around 11 p.m., 24-year-old Terrance Smith was in a vehicle that was found with damage from gunfire, he also hit a parked car. Smith was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. The incident occurred along the 4400 block of Enright. The investigation is ongoing.

On Sunday, two people were killed and three others were injured in a standoff in Old North St. Louis.

Police were called to an apartment building on the 1900 block of North 14th Street around 12 p.m. where two women were shot. While on the scene, police heard gunshots from another apartment building next door.

When officers tried to talk to someone inside the second building, they did not get a response, so hostage negotiators were called in.

Police found three other shooting victims inside. 18-year-old Deanna Williams and 41-year-old Marlo Boyd were pronounced dead at the scene and another woman was rushed to a hospital. Police believe Boyd was the shooter.
