Thousands of area families need help purchasing essential school supplies for their children. The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis and St. Louis Public Schools is hosting the largest back-to-school supply giveaway next month, but they need your help to stock the event.
On June 28, 5 on Your Side is hosting a phone bank today to help raise money so the Urban League can purchase enough supplies and backpacks to help the kids who need it most. Call 314-969-8655 between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to make a monetary donation.
Donations can also be made online, by calling 314-615-3668, or by dropping them off at the Urban League’s office located at 3701 Grandel Square, St. Louis, MO 63108.
The back-to-school supply giveaway is Saturday, July 29 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at America’s Center.
