'Hate has no home here' signs about embracing differences

They started with 100 "Hate has no home here" signs, but quickly ran out, so they ordered another one thousand signs.

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - You may have noticed some red, white and blue signs appearing in Edwardsville the last few months and just thought they were another political sign, but these signs have a whole different message.

Linda Markowitz and a group of her Edwardsville neighbors wanted to spread the message that community is about embracing differences, so they found a simple way to share that message.

They started with 100 "hate has no home here" signs, but quickly ran out, so they ordered another 1,000 signs.

They were originally created by two Chicago elementary students and have been printed in 40 different languages.

If you would like a sign, the artwork is free to download here.
