ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. – Hundreds of people supporting former Rock Hill Police officer, Matt Crosby flocked to about 25 restaurants on Friday.

The restaurants were giving a portion of their proceeds to help build a handicap accessible home for Crosby in St. Charles County.

Crosby was shot and paralyzed back in 2010 while responding to a domestic call.

In the years since, there has been an outpouring of support.

"A group of us came together, we call ourselves the Crosby crew," said Chuck Kraussm an Ellisville police officer.

Krauss is one of many from across the area who are helping Crosby.

"Some strangers got together and we started all of these fundraisers, dine-outs, trivia nights, whatever we could think of to try to try and help Matt build his new home, a year later we are still going at it," Krauss said.
