ST. CHARLES CO., Mo. – One person is dead and at least six are injured in a Monday morning accident on Interstate 70 near Foristell.

Eastbound lanes were shut down for several hours for accident reconstruction.
The accident occurred around 7:30 a.m. near mile marker 204. According to police, a vehicle traveling westbound crossed over into the eastbound lanes.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash was not weather-related. They said the driver fell asleep at the wheel.
Police have not released any other details.
