BERKELEY, Mo. – Police are investigating after a double shooting in Berkeley Thursday afternoon.

Police responded to the intersection of Fay Drive and Canyon Drive around 12:25 p.m. where they found 55-year-old Frank Langston suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower body.

He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead Friday morning. He was at an MSD site working as a contract utility worker approximately a half a block from the immediate scene when he was hit by a stray bullet.

Langston’s widow, Sharon Langston, was in shock over her husband’s death.

“I’m going to miss him. I loved him so much,” said Langston.

Sharon never imagined her life with her husband would end the way it did.

“Going to work, minding his own business. I never dreamed that it would be the last time seeing him alive. They took my husband from me!” Langston said through tears.

A second victim, who has been identified as 27-year-old William Dortch, was located at a hospital shortly after. The victim was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police say he was inside a car near Fay and Canyon Drive when suspect(s) began to shoot into the car. He was conveyed to the hospital from the scene by another individual that was in the same car.

Police do not have any suspects in custody.

Anyone with information should contact the St. Louis County Police Department at 636-529-8210 or CrimeStoppers at 1-866-371-8477.
