WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. – More than a dozen fire trucks responded to Laclede Groves Senior Living Community Wednesday evening for a reported fire.
An employee at the facility said the fire alarms were going off a little after 5:30. Firefighters said the fire started on the second floor of one of the buildings and produced a lot of smoke in the building. The fire was isolated to one apartment.
No residents were injured, and they were moved to a safe area in the facility while firefighters did their work.
One firefighter was injured, but no other injuries have been reported.
