A multi-vehicle crash sent five people to the hospital Saturday evening in St. Charles County.
According to St. Charles County police, around 7:30 p.m. the driver of a pick-up truck was traveling westbound on Highway N near Hopewell Road and crossed the center line into the eastbound lane. Witnesses told police, a Toyota Highlander traveling eastbound on Highway N tried to avoid the pick-up truck by steering left, but the pick-up driver corrected back into the westbound lane, causing the vehicles to collide.
Five people were in the Toyota Highlander, including two adults and three children. All five were transported to nearby hospitals. One of the adults and one of the children were listed in serious condition.
The driver of the pick-up was not transported to a hospital.
