BELLEVILLE, Ill. – Two people were found dead in a trailer after an overnight fire in Belleville.
Firefighters responded to the fire around 12:25 a.m. Monday in the South 15th block. The fire started in a back bedroom.
According to the Belleville Fire Department, the trailer did not have a working smoke detector.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. No other trailers or buildings were damaged during the fire. No other details have been provided.
