Members of the Animal Cruelty Task Force rescued 31 dogs from disgusting conditions and found nine more dead in a hoarding situation in Benton County, Missouri.

The dogs were taken to St. Louis where they are receiving treatment at the Humane Society.

The Animal Cruelty Task Force said they were living in a crowded and dirty home, and had possibly been feeding on the remains of nine other dogs who died there.

All the animals will be vaccinated and nursed to health before being put up for adoption, but It's not clear how long that will take.
