Arnold PD to wear badges honoring Officer O'Connor

The badge has O'Connor's name and badge number, a thin blue line and a shamrock to honor O'Connor's fighting spirit.

ARNOLD, Mo. - The Arnold Police Department will keep injured Arnold officer Ryan O'Connor close to their hearts this month.

For the month of March, officers will wear commemorative badges "to honor the character, exemplary service and ongoing recovery of Officer Ryan O’Connor," a post on the department's Facebook post said.

The badge has O'Connor's name and badge number, a thin blue line and a shamrock to honor O'Connor's fighting spirit.

The post asks for continued prayers for O'Connor and his family. Finally, it asks for something from the community.

"If you see one of our APD officers in the community this month, please take time to thank them for their service."

Donations for Officer O'Connor can be dropped off at Fortune Bank in Arnold, Mo. located at 3494 Jeffco Boulevard. Donations are also accepted online through GoFundMe.
