ST. LOUIS – The official name of the national park that is home to the Gateway Arch could be getting a new name.
A Senate bill sponsored by Roy Blunt and co-sponsored by Claire McCaskill could change the name of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial to Gateway Arch National Park. The bill passed the Senate In December.
A nearly identical bill has been introduced in the house. The House bill was sponsored by Lacy Clay and co-sponsored by Ann Wagner and Blaine Luetkemeyer.
