Ces & Judy’s closing Frontenac location to open new venue

"We have been doing this for a long time and we try to keep our ear to what grooms and brides are looking for."

Judith Bellos and Cecily Hoffius, co-owners of Ces & Judy’s Catering, will close their Frontenac location at the end of March to open a new venue in Catawissa, Missouri, about 50 miles south of downtown St. Louis.

Bellos and Hoffius have rented their catering and event space at 10405 Clayton Road, in Le Chateau Village, for the last 24 years. The two are ready to venture out to a 25-acre property that will include a 7,000-square-foot venue called The Venue at Maison du Lac. The property was previously a llama farm and features a small lake.

“We have been doing this for a long time and we try to keep our ear to what grooms and brides are looking for,” Bellos said of the catering business. “What they would love is a destination wedding, and we felt that building this venue in the countryside with easy access was like a destination wedding without getting on a plane or having a passport.”
