ST. LOUIS – Steve Hunt Sr., a 44-year-old father, was shot and killed on November 16, 2010.

Police believe he was robbed at 1741 Cochran Place in front of an apartment building in downtown St. Louis. Steve’s family described him as a wonderful, loving, religious man who worked hard to take care of his family.

They don’t believe that he knew he would be in danger coming to the downtown apartments on the night of November 16. Steve Hunt Sr. was the youngest of eight brothers and he had two of his own children. His son, Steve Hunt Jr., said he is honoring his father by raising children who are good, hard-working and respectful like his dad.

Roger Hunt is Steve’s brother. He says they would encourage each other and have great discussions. He promised their mother that he would try to figure out who took Steve’s life.
