“He is currently undergoing chemotherapy and LOVES to hear sirens. He got to sit in a squad car and happily listened to the sirens wail!” police said in a Facebook post.

After learning he had cancer, James’ owner, Amber Lee, decided to make a bucket list for him.

Lee said James is a rescue and was found neglected and chained to a tree. Lee has had James for 7 and a half years and said he always gets excited when he hears an ambulance or firetruck pass by.
