"In a time where everything is given to us and we give to so many other people, it's important to think of the kids who otherwise wouldn't, and the smile on a kid's face when they receive a present makes everything worth it," said Mackenzie Scott.
Scott would know that first hand. She suffered from a rare degenitive bone disease and was hospitalized during the holidays when she was just 11.
That's when she had the idea to found Firetruck O' Toys.
Now in college, Scott has helped deliver more than 25,000 toys to kids in five different St. Louis Hospitals.
