Hidden Valley Ski Resort opens for season

WILDWOOD, Mo. — The City of Wildwood approved a conditional use permit which would grant Hidden Valley Ski Resort four new zipline tracks.

The Wildwood Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved the measure Monday night with 10-0 vote. Hidden Valley was given the right to build four zipline tracks following an amendment made by Mayor Jim Bowlin to build the fourth line 75 feet farther from nearby residents.

"We looked for ways to make this work for our residents and Hidden Valley,” said Mayor Bowlin in a statement. “The fact that this commission was able to come to a unanimous decision to approve Hidden Valley’s request with a compromise is a strong vote of support."
