CHESTERFIELD, Mo.— A house painter is charged with a felony for stealing more than $25,000 from a home in Chesterfield.
The house owner said there were missing items in his safe, including $70,000 in cash and gold coins. According to the police, the safe had been left unlocked.
Robert Primas was a suspect because he was inside the victim's house from February 25 to March 6, working on a paint job.
Primas later admitted to police that he stole all the money and gave half to his friend.
He gave back $21,960 in cash and six gold coins.
