Pet owners affected by widespread flooding in the St. Louis area can bring their pets to two Humane Society locations for free boarding.
According to a press release from the Humane Society of Missouri, the two locations are:
- Manchester United Methodist Church on 129 Woods Mill Road, which will be accepting pets until 6 p.m. Wednesday. After that time, owners are asked to call the Humane Society hotline at (314) 647-4400 for emergency pickup
- First Baptist Church of Arnold at 2012 Missouri State Road, which will begin accepting animals until 8 p.m. Wednesday.
- Tri County Senior Center at 800 W. Union Street in Pacific is accepting animals until 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Pets dropped off in Manchester will be taken to the Humane Society's Macklind Avenue headquarters. Pets dropped off in Arnold will be sheltered on site in climate-controlled vehicles until they can be taken to the headquarters.
Pet owners should bring medication, special food, bedding and toys for their pets. Purina will be providing dog and cat food and cat litter for animals that do not have special requirements in these areas.
