EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. - The Chairman of the Illinois Lottery Control Board will resign after he responded to a tweet from the senator of Illinois.
The original tweet was Senator Durbin's comments on President Trump making derogatory remarks about people from certain countries.
Country music star Charlie Daniels replied saying,
"Mr Durbin I'm so sorry that your virgin ears were blistered by the absolutely horrible language president Trump used in front of you
The president actually thought he was addressing a meeting of members of congress , not a kindergarten class hope you didn't wet your pants too."
Chairman Blair Garber responded to Daniels' tweet saying,
"Charlie, Durbin's home town is (get this) east St. Louis Illinois! The sh*thole of the universe! Just do a google search."
According to Governor Rauner's office, Mr. Garber has apologized for his comments and is resigning from the Illinois Lottery Control Board effective immediately.
