MACOUPIN COUNTY, Ill. — A woman has died after a one-car crash in Macoupin County, Illinois.
Julianne Biro was driving north on Illinois Route 159 at 5:31 a.m. Sunday. She crossed the center line, and when she overcorrected, her SUV skidded across the road and went into a ditch, according to Illinois State Police.
When the SUV hit the ditch embankment, it went airborne for about 140 before landing in front yard of a house. The vehicle rolled several times and stopped upside down about 400 feet from where it went off the road, ISP reported.
Biro was pronounced dead at the scene. She was 23 years old from Bunker Hill, Illinois.
