ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Junior Blues are giving back to a former player, an officer paralyzed in the line of duty.
The team and Responder Rescue gave a six-thousand dollar check to Matt Crosby. He's a retired Rock Hill Police officer shot and paralyzed in the line of duty back in 2010.
Crosby once played for the Junior Blues. The team raised money during a charity hockey game back in November.
The money will help build a wheelchair accessible home for Crosby. Crosby says crews have already poured a foundation for the home.
He's hoping it will be ready for move in by the end of the year.
