ST. LOUIS COUNTY – A man has been charged with DWI after rear-ending a St. Louis County police vehicle early Friday morning.
On Friday, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office issued charges on John Simpson, 53, of St. Louis, for one count of DWI-Physical Injury.
According to court documents, Simpson rear-ended a police vehicle and showed signs of intoxication. He blew a .174 BAC and admitted to operating the vehicle.
The police officer suffered a concussion due to the collision.
Simpson is being held on a $25,000 bond.
