ST. LOUIS – An investigation is underway after a man was shot to death in downtown St. Louis Friday morning.
Officers responded to 9th and Pine around 11 a.m. where a man in his 50s was found shot. The incident occurred just blocks away from Citygarden.
According to police, an argument between the victim and a suspect started in the lobby of the Mark Twain Hotel and spilled out into the street. Police told 5 On Your Side, officers at a substation nearby heard the gunfire and responded quickly.
The suspect was taken into custody and a firearm was recovered from the scene.
