ST. LOUIS – An officer was transported to a hospital following a police chase on Interstate 70 near Grand Friday afternoon.
Around 2:30 p.m., officers were patrolling near Kingshighway and Thekla when they witnessed a shooting.
Officers chased the suspect vehicle and were involved in an accident at Interstate 70 and Grand. A 30-year-old officer with 2.5 years of service was transported to a hospital with a knee injury.
Three suspects were taken into custody and firearms were recovered.
The investigation is ongoing. No other details have been provided.
