ST. LOUIS - Say hello to the new Kiener Plaza! The oasis in downtown St. Louis is officially open after a year-long, $23.7 million renovation.

The newly-designed space downtown features a new concert area, more than 140 new trees, a playground, improved lighting, and an interactive splash pad.

The Courthouse Lawn can hold more than 2,000 people for concerts, festivals, and movies at the plaza.

The iconic ‘Runner’ statue also returned to its home at the center of Kiener Plaza with a new fountain! The fountain will still change colors but not with dye.

"We don't have to do that anymore. We can do LED lighting which is much more environmentally friendly," Ryan McClure, Director of Communications for CityArchRiver Foundation, said.
