Red Bud man admits to producing child pornography

Michael B. Stephens was charged with criminal sexual abuse after knowingly having sex with a victim between the ages of 13 and 17. Police said he traded tattoos for sex with minors.

RED BUD, Ill. – A Red Bud, Illinois, man could face up to 60 years in prison after he admitted to producing child pornography Tuesday.

Michael B. Stephens Jr., 43, pleaded guilty in Illinois district court to two counts of production of child pornography after an investigation revealed he recorded himself having sex with a girl at least 25 times.

Stephens could face 60 years in prison or a fine of up to $500,000. His sentencing was scheduled for June 29.

Stephens was arrested in July of 2017 by the Waterloo Police Department after he was accused of trading tattoos for sex with underage girls.
