Schnucks recalls ground beef sold at three St. Louis-area stores

The meat was recalled from stores in St. Charles, Town and Country and Collinsville, Illinois.

ST. LOUIS – Schnucks is voluntarily recalling fresh ground beef sold at three St. Louis area stores.

The fresh ground beef is being recalled because of substances found in the meat. The recalls are as follows:

  • Meat from Schnucks at 1900 First Capitol Drive in St. Charles sold between 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Saturday is recalled due to tray packaging accidentally mixed into the grind.
  • Meat from Schnucks at 501 Belt Line Road in Collinsville, Illinois. sold between 4 and 6 p.m. Sunday is recalled due to a packaging clip being found in the product.
  • Meat from Schnucks at 1060 Woods Mill Road in Town & County, Missouri, sold between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Monday is recalled due to a packaging clip being discovered in the product.
