FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. – A man has been charged with sending pornographic images and text messages to a minor.
Police charged Thomas Abbott, 32, on Tuesday after the victim’s mother found the images and texts on the victim’s phone and called police.
Abbott had been in contact with the victim from Nov. 2017 to Feb. 2018. He knew the victim from volunteering at the Union School District.
Abbott is charged with furnishing pornography to a minor and is being held on $20,000 bond.
Anyone who believes their child may have had contact with Abbott in an inappropriate way should contact the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing.
