St. Charles paramedics save dog from fire

ST. CHARLES, Mo. — Firefighters and paramedics teamed up in the City of St. Charles to rescue a dog from a fire Tuesday.

First responders were called to a fire at a home off Highway 94 in unincorporated St. Charles Tuesday. Central County Fire and Rescue got the dog out of the home, but it was unresponsive.

Paramedics Adam Hermann and Alyssa Forsyth from the St. Charles County Ambulance District were able to perform CPR and a pet oxygen mask to resuscitate him before rushing him to an emergency vet for treatment.

Two other dogs and one cat were in the home at the time, but they could not be saved. No one else in the home at the time of the fire.
