A teenager was rescued Monday morning from a burning home in Arnold.
The fire started before noon at a home on Old Hickory Court. When Arnold police arrived on scene, they found flames shooting out of the house and a teen trapped on the second floor.
Officers formed a human ladder and tried to pull him from a window, but he got stuck. Firefighters arrived a short time later and finished the rescue.
"They knew they had to rescue him no matter what," said Christine Bruhn, a neighbor. "There were flames and smoke were coming right by his bedroom, so they had to get him out; they couldn't wait. So it's great, we all appreciate them."
The teenager wasn't seriously injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
