The Breakfast Club, Inc. celebrates 20 years of life-saving service

The Mayor of St. Louis has also declared Feb. 10 "The Breakfast Club Incorporated Day."

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Mo. – A local group of African American breast cancer survivors received a big honor Friday.

More than 300 people came out today for the Shining Star Jazz Brunch in Maryland Heights. The "Breakfast Club Incorporated" celebrated two decades of life-saving service. The organization helps cancer survivors in North St. Louis and North County.

Its volunteers provide free mammograms and help cancer survivors navigate the healthcare system. The group also connects underinsured clients to resources to help pay for medical care.
