Thunderstorms possible Saturday, warmer temps expected

The back half of the weekend will be much nicer, with skies becoming mostly sunny Sunday. Above normal temperatures will continue into next week with more sunshine Monday and Tuesday.

Rain moved into the region Thursday evening and will exit early Friday morning. Fortunately, the temperatures with this round are well above freezing and we are looking at rain and not freezing rain or freezing drizzle overnight and Friday morning.

Friday will be even milder under mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures should reach the lower to mid 50s across the region. Some morning fog is possible. Most of the daylight hours will be dry, but another round of rain will move in Friday evening.

The rain will continue into Saturday. The heaviest rain may be farther south Saturday, but we should get a good amount here as well. Thunderstorms are possible Saturday. Highs should be close to 60 degrees.
