ST. LOUIS - Due to weather conditions, Winterfest at the Arch will close for the season on Dec. 29 at 9 p.m.
According to organizers, the family friendly New Year's Eve Celebration is also canceled due to weather.
Winterfest was supposed to be open through New Year's Day.
“The safety of our guests is our top priority, and with dangerously cold temperatures expected this weekend, we felt this was the right decision,” says Ryan McClure, director of communications and activation for the Gateway Arch Park Foundation. “We are overwhelmed by the success of Winterfest at the Arch's second year, and we are looking forward to bringing more opportunities for the public to enjoy the renovated spaces at Kiener Plaza and the Gateway Arch park grounds in 2018.”
